Ayooluwa Aseweje is an Investment Analyst at Aruwa Capital Nigeria Limited and has 4 years of buy and sell side experience in private capital, investment  banking, and research. He has executed and advised on project finance, corporate finance, and capital market transactions for SMEs and blue-chip companies across Sub-Saharan Africa in excess of $500 million across multiple sectors including renewable energy, TMT, power, gas, financial services, and financial technology.

Prior to joining Aruwa, Ayo spent 3 years at United Capital where he worked across capital markets, advisory, project finance, and structured finance as a member of the Investment Banking team. He was a key part of fundraising for United Capital’s N150 billion local currency infrastructure debt fund from domestic pension funds and other institutional investors. He was also on the fund’s investment team, participating in private debt deals across renewable energy, power, metals recycling, agribusiness, and TMT, and closing the fund’s maiden investment.

Ayo started his career at the Research team at United Capital where he focused on industrial and infrastructure equity research as well as Sub-Saharan Africa macro research, and authored/co-authored earnings updates and macroeconomic outlook reports. Ayo has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Ibadan.
