Aruwa Capital Impact Report Webinar

We are proud to have hosted a webinar in conjunction with one of our largest institutional investors- Mastercard Foundation Africa Growth Fund, following the release of our impact report. The webinar, titled “Advancing Growth: Enabling Gender Equity & Inclusive Investment in Africa,” was moderated by our founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, and featured representatives from some of our portfolio companies.

The panelists included Timi Oke, MD/Co-Founder of Agroeknor; Natalie Casey, Chief Commercial Officer of Koolboks; and Priya Amarnani, Founding Team Member and Head of Product at OmniRetail.

The webinar discussed the real impact of Aruwa’s investments on jobs, communities, and gender equality. Timi Oke shared how our investment has helped Agroeknor optimise the Nigerian superfood value chain, increasing export earnings and providing higher incomes for over 3,000 smallholder farmers and agro-processors, most of whom are women. Natalie Casey highlighted how Aruwa has been instrumental in helping Koolboks scale from the pilot phase to delivering smart cooling solutions to SMEs, empowering women-owned and managed businesses for sustainable economic inclusion and growth. Priya Amarnani shared how having Aruwa Capital on board has enabled OmniRetail to see remarkable growth, deepening their impact by reaching more retailers in Nigeria and across Africa.

It was a pleasure to listen in detail and hear firsthand how our thorough yet intentional due diligence process pre-investment was instrumental in helping our portfolio companies build structure and find blindspots.
