Aruwa Capital at Barclays Private Bank’s ‘Psychology of Investing’ Event

Our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, joined a team of experts from Barclays Private Bank at the ‘Psychology of Investing’ event, held at Gaia Africa House in Lagos. The panel discussed behavioural biases in investment decisions, the evolving role of women in wealth creation, and their impact on sustainable legacies.

Aruwa Capital at the Second West African Deal Summit

Aruwa Capital proudly sponsored the 2nd West African Deal Summit, a 2-day summit hosted by the Impact Investors Foundation in Lagos. Our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, represented Aruwa Capital at the Impact Fund showcase on Day 1, and also delivered a goodwill message and presented the Impact Investor of the Year 2024 Award at the Annual Dinner and Awards on Day 2.

Aruwa Capital at the Africa Prosperity Summit

Our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, was invited as a speaker at the Africa Prosperity Summit, hosted by Ventures Platform at the Civic Centre in Lagos. She spoke on a “Gender Lens Investing” panel alongside leading experts, discussing the transformative impact of investing in women-led businesses on Africa’s economic growth.

Aruwa Capital at the Unilag Gender Conference

Aruwa Capital attended the Unilag Gender Conference, represented by Nofan Obieromah (Investment Associate). Nofan joined a panel of dynamic women to discuss Economic Empowerment: Addressing Women’s Poverty through a Gender-Responsive Financing Lens in Nigeria, highlighting strategies for driving economic empowerment and the critical role of gender-responsive financing.

Aruwa Capital at the Food and Energy Security Conference

Aruwa Capital attended the Food and Energy Security Conference, co-hosted by the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), White & Case LLP, and AfreximBank. Represented by our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, who joined key stakeholders to explore transformative strategies for addressing Nigeria’s challenges in food security, energy resilience, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Aruwa Capital was invited as a key investor at the Investor Fair 2.0, a premier event hosted by DealRoom Nigeria. We were represented by our Snr. Investment Associate- Kunle Akinola. Aruwa Capital at the Energizing Agriculture Programme’s Pitch Competition

Aruwa Capital was proudly represented at the Energizing Agriculture Programme’s Pitch Competition earlier this month by Ayooluwa Aseweje, Investment Analyst. We are thrilled to share that our portfolio company, Koolboks, represented by Co-Founder Deborah Gael, delivered an outstanding presentation and emerged as a winner of the $30,000 grant cash prize among 7 entrepreneurs.

Mentor Matchup Challenge 6.0

We’re excited to share that our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, will be speaking at the Mentor Matchup Challenge 6.0 hosted by 234Finance on December 4th, 2024. Adesuwa will join the Local Production Panel to discuss strategies for strengthening Nigeria’s supply chains, improving efficiency, and reducing import dependency to enhance local industry resilience. We look forward to gaining insights from this event and fostering new ideas for sustainable growth in Nigeria’s production sector.

The 2024 African Development Bank African Investment Forum

We’re excited to share that our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, was invited by the African Development Bank to speak at the 2024 African Investment Forum in Rabat Morocco on the 5th of December 2024. With multiple on-site DD visits in November from global institutions visiting us and portfolio companies, progress toward the final close for Aruwa Capital Fund II remains steady, and we are energised to finish the year strong.
