Our Founder, Adesuwa Okunbo Rhodes, joined a fireside chat at the Gender Bonds Toolkit Dissemination event in Lagos, hosted by FSD Africa in collaboration with UN Women, British International Investment (BII), and other key partners. The event spotlighted the critical role of gender bonds in mobilising capital for women-focused investments across Africa.

Adesuwa participated in a panel moderated by Kate Perkins, Head of Gender at BII, alongside Ojuru Adeniji, VP Origination & Structuring at InfraCredit, and Marlene Muller, Innovation Manager at Symbiotics. The discussion explored strategies to unlock new capital flows, the business case for gender-lens investing, and how Aruwa Capital Fund I’s strong performance, which has surpassed global benchmarks, demonstrates the financial and social returns of investing with a gender lens.
